More About Chevrolet Silverado Halo Headlights

If you're shopping for lighting for your Chevy Silverado, you have many choices, including Chevrolet Silverado halo headlights kits and assemblies, and Silverado fog light kits and assemblies. These are available in different color options and lighting technologies. Color changing options are massively popular. For one of these, go for a Profile Prism (formerly called ColorMorph) kit or a colorSHIFT kit or assemblies.

LED Color Changing Halo Headlights at NFC PerformanceAll of our color changing products use LED (light emitting diode) lighting. Each LED halo ring is made up of a bunch of tiny bulbs working together to make one bright beam of light around your headlight. This make up, which only LEDs have, allows them to change colors and show off lighting effects. These abilities require LED rings, and other LED products, to be operated with a remote control. If you're buying your first LED product, you will need to make sure you include a remote in your order.

Those notable abilities are the reason that LEDs overtook CCFL (cold cathode fluorescent light) rings as the top halo lighting type. CCFLs have become obsolete now that new technologies have come into play, and this lighting type has since been retired. Aside from LEDs' flashy color changing effects, they have other advantages over CCFL lighting. LEDs are brighter and last 60K hours - 10K hours more than CCFLs.

Plasmas appeared after LEDs and are the newest halo lighting type. Plasma rings are available as single color kits, but they have a few benefits from both CCFLs and LEDs. Like CCFLs, Plasmas give off the smooth, even classic halo look. However, like LEDs, they shine brighter. Plasma lighting lasts longer than both of its predecessors at 100,000 hours.

Chevrolet Silverado Halo Headlight Installation

Oracle Lighting and LED Concepts Chevrolet Silverado halo kits have a fairly straightforward installation process. Your kit will come with a set of instructions that will walk you through the process. However, if you'd like a little extra help, LED Concepts has made the video below to show you step by step how halo installation is done.

If you've decided that you don't want to install your own halos (or find someone to install them for you), select a pre-assembled lighting product. When you order one of these, a brand new set of assemblies will be shipped out to you with the halos already installed.

Before ordering full assemblies, you should know a few things. Assemblies are considered custom orders. This means that they will take a bit longer to process (12-15 business days) than regular orders, and that they are not returnable. For that reason, we will request a photo of the front of your Silverado to make absolutely sure that the product you order and receive is the product you need. Read up on our policies for custom orders ahead of time to be fully prepared.

More Chevrolet Silverado Lighting Options

We have Chevrolet Silverado halo headlight rings and halo fog light rings, but these are not the only ways available for you to take the look of your Silverado up a notch. NFC Performance also carries a listing of universal lighting products that will match up with just about any make and model.

Universal Fitment Lights for Chevrolet SilveradoGet your Silverado some Rock Lights or Wheel Ring Lights. Our other universal fitment top sellers are demon eyes kits. These are considered the counterpart to halo rings, which are also called angel eyes. Demon eyes get their name from the solid color they lend to your headlights. Both of our demon eyes kits (Profile Prism from LED Concepts and colorSHIFT from Oracle Lighting) use LED lighting, and so are capable of color changing and control by remote. While they don't need to be matched up to a specific make, model, and year the way halo rings do, demon eyes will only work with vehicles with projector headlights. These kits are listed at more economical prices than many halo ring products, and they are also fairly simple to install.

Important Information for All Orders

Any time you order an LED Concepts or Oracle Lighting product, you should open it up and inspect it as soon as it is delivered to make sure it wasn't damaged during shipping. This doesn't happen often, but it's always a possibility. If you notice a defect or damage, it's important to contact us at NFC Performance as soon as you can. Our manufacturers both require that any damage be reported to them within 24 hours of delivery so they can work to resolve the issue for you. Don't hesitate to make sure everything is damage free.

As soon as you have your halos, or other lighting product, in hand, check their functionality. After inspecting your halos to ensure there is no visible damage, the next thing you will want to do is run a bench test. This is a quick way to check to make sure your halos are in proper working order before you go through the steps to install them. To run a bench test, you'll need your halos, a 12 volt power source, and a ground power source. Learn more about bench testing your product and what to do if your product arrives damaged by visiting our shipping policies page.
