More About Dodge Ram Halo Headlights

Our Dodge Ram halo headlights are available in LED and Plasma lighting technologies, single and multi color options, and as kits or as full assemblies. For a color changing option, look for a colorSHIFT or Profile Prism kit or pre-assembled lights.

LED Halo Headlights for Dodge RamAll color changing options use LED (light emitting diode) lighting. LED headlights are long lasting and versatile. Since this lighting technology became available for halo headlights, they have steadily replaced CCFL (cold cathode fluorescent lighting) halos. CCFLs were the original halos, but have since been retired after the appearance of new technologies. LEDs are currently the most wide spread lighting type. They have their own distinct fractioned beam due to their composition - many tiny bulbs making up the halo ring - and they have the advantage of being remote controllable.

If you are looking for a single color option that will arrive to you as a kit, your other choice is a set of Plasma halos. Plasmas have advantages of both CCFL and LED lighting. Like CCFL lights, Plasmas have the classic halo look of an even, uninterrupted beam. Like LED lights, Plasmas are bright enough to show up during the day. However, this lighting type outshines LEDs and CCFLs by far when it comes to its endurance - lasting about 100,000 hours of use.

Dodge Ram Halo Headlight Installation

All of our halo kits are plug and play products, taking some of the stress out of the installation process. Each kit will arrive with a full set of instructions to help you open your assemblies, properly place the halo rings and wires, and close the the assemblies back up, and there is no complicated wiring involved.

Pre-assembled lights arrive to you with the halos already installed - you will only need to replace your old assemblies with the new ones. For this reason, pre-assembled lights are custom orders. When you place your order for a set of full assemblies, we will request a photo of the front of your truck to ensure that the product you get will fit perfectly with your vehicle.

Custom orders also take a bit longer to process. Most non-custom products process in a few business days. Because assemblies arrive with the halos already in place, these orders take about 12-15 business days to process and be ready to ship out to you. Before placing your pre-assembled lighting order, make sure you have read through all of our custom order information ahead of time.

If you have opted to save a little cash by purchasing a kit and installing the halos yourself, check out the video by Oracle below that will walk you through each step of the Dodge Ram halo headlight installation using the oven heating method.

More Dodge Ram Lighting Products

At NFC Performance you also have access to many other accent lighting products that you can use to give your Dodge Ram a new look. In addition to Plasma tail lights, many of our universal fitment products are compatible with your Ram. Unlike halo rings and fog light rings, universal lighting products will work with just about any vehicle, regardless of make, model, or year.

Universal Fitment Demon Eyes Kit for Dodge RamThese products use LED lighting technology, and the best sellers are wheel light rings and demon eyes kits. Demon eyes kits are significantly different from halo rings, which are also called angel eyes. The first major difference is their look. Halo lights get their name from the ringed beam of light they give off. Demon eyes affect the whole headlight, changing it to a solid, colored beam.

These demon eyes kits are either Oracle's colorSHIFT or LED Concepts' Profile Prism products, meaning both are capable of changing colors and remote control. Where halo kits and assemblies must be matched with your vehicle's make, model, and year, this is not the case with demon eyes. Demon eyes are not available as full assemblies, and their only limitation is that they must be used with projector headlight equipped vehicles.

Important Information for All Orders

The first thing you should do when you get your Oracle Lighting or LED Concepts product is inspect it. It is uncommon for products to be damaged during shipping, but it can happen, so it's important to make sure everything is working properly. If you notice a defect or damage that occurred while shipping, notify us at NFC Performance as soon as possible, and do not throw away the damaged product or any of the packaging. When they are notified of damage within one business day of package delivery, Oracle Lighting and LED Concepts will provide a replacement at no extra charge to you.

In order to make sure your lighting product is working properly, perform a bench test. A bench test is a quick way to test out the product before you install it. Once your package arrives to you, open it up and connect the positive wire to a 12 volt power source and connect the negative wire to a ground power source.
