More About Jeep Wrangler Halo Headlights
NFC Performance has a large range of different Jeep Wrangler halo headlight rings and fog light rings in multiple single color and color changing options, lighting technologies, and as kits or assemblies. Our color changing options for Jeep Wrangler headlights include Oracle Lighting™ colorSHIFT and LED Concepts™ Profile Prism products. These are LED based, which is the reason for their ability to change colors.
Not only is LED (light emitting diode) the only lighting type that allows halos to have fluid color changing, it also allows the driver to operate lighting effects with a remote control. Multi-functionality and ease of use are the main reasons LEDs have replaced CCFLs (cold cathode fluorescent lighting) as the top halo lighting type. Now retired, CCFL rings were the original halos and are responsible for what is known as the classic halo look. With their multiple individual bulbs making up each ring, LED rings have a distinctive appearance, different from CCFLs.
Plasmas are the latest halo lighting type to hit the market. They give off a smooth beam of continuous light - just like CCFL rings did - that some drivers find more appealing than the fractioned beam look that LEDs provide. Jeep Wrangler Plasma rings are available as single color kits or pre-assembled lights. (Choose one of four color options for your headlight rings or one of five colors for your fog light rings. However, remember that not all colors are street legal.) While they are not capable of changing colors, they are brighter than CCFL rings and last a lot longer than LEDs, clocking in at 100,000 hours of continuous use.
Jeep Wrangler Halo Headlight Installation
Jeep Wrangler halo headlight kit installation is a fairly simple process. When you receive your halo rings, after ensuring that they are in proper working order, take a look at the included installation instructions. The instructions are specific to your product and vehicle and will direct you to correctly place the wires and rings. If you would like to know more about the installation process ahead of time, you can look at our Halo Headlight Installation tips. And you can also view an example of a Jeep Wrangler halo installation in the video made by Oracle Lighting™ below.
If you have decided you don't want to install the halo rings yourself, you will need to find someone local who knows how to do it for you, or you will need to select pre-assembled lights. Pre-assembled lighting products arrive to you with the halo rings already installed in new assemblies. When you place an order with us for full assemblies, we will ask you to send in a picture of your Jeep. This is because assemblies are custom items and, for that reason, cannot be returned. With the photo or your vehicle, we will make absolutely sure that the product you get is right for your Wrangler.
Other Jeep Wrangler Lighting Options
Halo headlight rings and halo fog light rings are not your only options for boosting the look of your Wrangler. For other options, check out our listing of universal fitment products. Unlike halo rings, which have to match up to your vehicle's make, model, and year, universal lighting products are not limited by these restrictions.
Our most popular universal products are wheel ring lights and LED Concepts™ Profile Prism or Oracle Lighting™ colorSHIFT demon eyes kits. These kits can be considered the analog of halo rings, which are also called angel eyes. Demon eyes get their name from their solid color headlight look. These lights are not available as full assemblies, but they do have the benefits that come with LED lighting, like color changing and remote controllability, and are often more economical than halo kits. However, they can only be used in vehicles with projector headlights.
LED Concepts Lights For Jeep Wrangler
LED Concepts™ is one of our trusted halo manufacturers. New to the auto lighting world, they quickly gained the attention of a larger company, and in 2017 they were acquired by Retrofit Source, giving them access to more resources, new knowledge, and more ways to maintain the quality and consistency of their products. LED Concepts™ is more selective with its Jeep Wrangler offerings, skipping over single color options to provide only Profile Prism color changing LED lights.
Oracle Halo Lights For Jeep Wrangler
All of our Plasma products and some of our LED products are made by Oracle Lighting™. Oracle Lighting™ is known and trusted countrywide for its high quality products and for serving makes and models of nearly all kinds. With about two decades of knowledge and skill, they consistently make long-lasting, durable products.
Important Information for All Orders
Make sure you open and inspect your halo rings, or other lighting product, as soon as they are delivered to you. This is an important step in receiving your order that you should not put off. While getting a defective item or one that has been damaged during shipping is not common, you should be aware of the possibility. If you notice a defect or damage, you should contact us at NFC Performance right away so we can get in touch with Oracle Lighting™ or LED Concepts™ on your behalf. You will also want to make sure you hold onto the damaged product and all of the packaging that it arrived with. Our manufacturers require that any damage be reported to them within 24 hours of the item's delivery so they can resolve the problem at no additional cost to you.
After opening the halos to check if you can see any damage, you will still need to make sure they are functional by running a bench test. This test is not time consuming, will offer reassurance that your halo rings are in proper working order, and - if there does happen to be damage - will prevent you from going through the installation process before discovering the defect. Check out our shipping information for more details. To run a bench test, you will need your kit, a 12 volt power source, and a ground power source.
